Baby Wear
Baby wearing is a life saver at the parks. You are not able to take a stroller into lines so it really saves your arms and your back! Also (depending on the cast member) you can usually baby wear on rides! So if a little one falls asleep in line, the sweet babe can continue to sleep while on the ride, score!
Bring your own stroller
To rent a stroller at Disney it is $18 for a single and $36 for a double per day. So to save money we always bring our own stroller! Not only is a stroller nice for pushing baby around but it’s also a great place to store stuff! Diaper bag, water bottles, snacks, jackets, etc.
Utilize the Baby Care Center
The Baby Care Center is a game changer when at the parks! Forget diapers? Lose a binky? Need some baby food? Baby Care Center has you covered! They also have nursing rooms, changing tables, high chairs, etc. Check out our blog post about it here.
Rider Switch
Rider switch is a life saver when at the parks with little ones! With Rider Switch, one adult (14 years or older) can wait with little ones while the rest of the party goes the ride. Then, they simply switch roles to allow the adult to experience the ride without waiting in the regular line again (this can sometimes be the fast pass line or sometimes a completely different line.)
To Use Rider Swap:
First, with your whole group, go to the cast member at the front of the ride and ask for a rider swap pass. The cast member will give you the rider swap pass, which is uploaded to your magic band or ticket on your phone! Part of the group goes on the ride while the other part waits with the little ones that cannot go on the ride.
Once the first group is done riding the ride the person waiting with the little ones can now go on the ride and take two additional people on the ride with them. They go to the cast member and show them the rider swap pass and the cast member will direct you what line to go to.
Rides that have rider swap:

-Thunder Mountain
-Gadgets Go Coaster
-Goofy’s Sky school
-Grizzly River Run
-Rise of the Resistance
-Guardian’s of the Galaxy
-Space Mountain

Nursing
Feel free to nurse wherever you like! But two of our favorite rides to nurse on are Small World and Pirates of the Caribbean. These rides are long and air conditioned. What’s better than being on a ride while nursing your little one?!
Changing Stations
There are changing stations in every bathroom. So whenever you need to change a diaper just find your closest bathroom!
What to bring
Here’s what we pack in our diaper bag:
- snacks
- baby food
- extra diapers and wipes
- diaper changing pad
- extra outfit
- pajamas (if you’re closing the park!)
- hand sanitizer
- lightweight blanket
- binky
- sunscreen
- small toys
Check out this blog post of what to bring to the parks here!
Enjoy watching the magic through their eyes!
Watching your baby look around and take everything in is the best part! There are so many new, bright and beautiful things for them to look at! It’s so sweet watching them soak it all in!
