Bringing your child to the parks can be stressful when the parks are busy or you have a large group! When there are so many things to look at, children can wander or get distracted- and let’s be honest, even us adults do it too! For the most park, Disney does a great job at creating a safe feeling while you’re at the park. With that being said, there is nothing worse than that SINKING feeling of not being able to find your child. It’s happened to us a time or two and I will never forget how terrifying it is.
Though the years we have seen many options you can buy for this. Stickers and tattoos bought from ETSY, sharpies, we’ve done it all but those options haven’t worked the best. Kids pull off stickers, sharpies wash or rub off and a the end of the day, all you can see are bits and pieces of what is supposed to be your safety plan. We have found the easiest and cheapest option for locating your children. Once you get into the park, head straight to City Hall and ask for a “I’m Celebrating” pin and a “I’m here at Disneyland with” sticker. Write your name and phone number on the sticker and pin it to your child!
Next, whenever we go to the park, we always point out the cast members. We remind our children if they get lost, find the nearest cast member (the adults with the pins). For toddlers who can’t yet talk, the pin is the best form of communication between an adult and your child. They can simply see the phone number on the pin, and call you to alert you that your child has been found.
